Browser, desktop & Windows control

The existing browser and desktop tools currently ask for approval on each action. The planned Chrome DevTools MCP action policy is not connected yet. Enabling a tool does not start it or connect a website account.

Chrome DevTools MCP is intended to connect your signed-in Chrome in its own work window. This connection is not connected yet; the live Browser view is still being built.

Uses a separate Any K-i? browser profile. Existing browser logins and Codex connections are not inherited.

How Any K-i? works

Give Any K-i? the result you want. It should inspect the code, make a short plan for larger tasks, fix causes instead of guessing, and verify its work. If an important requirement is missing, it should ask you one clear question.

Add project folder
Select an existing folder on this laptop. Any K-i? reads and edits files there when you run a task.
Run task / Send reply
Start work or answer Any K-i?'s question in the current conversation. Use New conversation for an unrelated task.
Apply change / Allow once / Reject
Any K-i? shows the proposed diff before each file edit. Apply change approves that edit and creates a local Git-backed checkpoint. Allow once approves a requested tool action; Reject declines it.
Stop task
Stop the agent and its running tools. Edits already made stay in your project; stopping does not undo them.
Changed files
Shows files reported by the coding engine. Review the actual changes and test results before using them.
Undo and checkpoints
Undo restores the files from one specific approved edit. It is available when no task is running and the files still match that edit. It refuses to overwrite newer changes. Review checkpoints to choose a particular edit, including edits that changed several files.
Memory and context
GPU and system memory show your laptop's live use. Context is the amount of text the model can handle in one request. Instructions guide the model; they do not train its weights.
Model and thinking
Choose Fast 9B or Deep 27B from the locally available models. Context, thinking effort, and the shared thinking + answer budget apply to the next task. The budget cannot exceed half the selected context.
Project memory
Save project notes for future tasks. Review and edit these notes yourself; they are stored locally and do not retrain the model.
Chat / Coding
Chat works without a project folder and can research GitHub when Online. Name a known project and ask for an edit to route into Coding; if the project is ambiguous, Any K-i? asks you to choose. The project banner shows where the task runs. Coding requests approval for edits and controlled tool actions. Switching modes starts a fresh conversation while preserving your draft.
Attach images
Choose images or paste screenshots into your draft, then add a question. Review or remove the previews before sending. PNG, JPEG, and WebP are supported, up to four images of 10 MiB each. The selected model must support images; switching to a vision model is always your choice.
Design Studio
Create images with an installed local image model. Choose the available model and describe what you want. Generation shows its actual state and can be cancelled. Closing the panel does not cancel a running generation; reopen it to check progress.
Remember this
Review a draft or message as a proposed preference, choose this project or all projects and chats, edit it, then Save. Existing notes are shown for review. Nothing is saved automatically.
Start from idea / New project
Describe your idea without selecting a project. Create & run asks for a name and parent folder, creates a new local folder, and starts the original prompt. Open folder uses the native Windows chooser for existing projects.
Recents
Reopen saved conversations, pin the ones you need, and drag them into order. The arrow buttons also reorder them. Pinned conversations stay above the unpinned group; your order is saved by the local runtime.
Online / Offline
Enable or pause online tools without changing the selected model. Connect GitHub, Cloudflare, or OpenAI only when you choose. Cloud and GPU Boost models are unavailable while Offline.
Dictate
Press Dictate and approve microphone access if asked. Stop & transcribe inserts the local transcript into your existing draft. Review it before Run; Cancel discards the recording. Recordings are limited to three minutes and 20 MB.
Browser and Desktop tools
Enable these in Connections for the next task. The runtime reports the current read and action approval policy in each tool card. Browser defaults to a separate Any K-i? profile. To use existing Chrome sessions, choose My existing Chrome, install the official Playwright extension in the desired profile, then approve its connection and choose a tab. No passwords are imported. Changing source turns Browser off until you explicitly enable it again; enabling does not establish a Gmail connection. Browser needs Online. Desktop terminal actions use your laptop account and can change files outside automatic Undo; direct file edits use Any K-i?'s reviewed editing tools.
Windows screen control
Enable this separate tool in Connections to request actions in live Windows apps. The laptop must remain awake and unlocked. Observation tools follow the policy shown in Connections; actions that change an app still ask for approval. Named controls can be read without image understanding. UAC, login and security prompts need you. AnyDesk can be used separately to watch; live UI changes are not covered by code Undo. End-to-end Windows UI control remains unverified.
GPU Boost
Optional paid Runpod inference. Fast coding is a Runpod-only preset. Get a current quote and approve its cost before starting. After the server is ready, press Use Runpod Coding to select it; startup never switches models automatically. Startup and download time are billed. Stop & remove ends the owned server; keep your laptop online until removal is confirmed.
Phone access
Start access from the desktop, open the displayed HTTPS address on your phone, and enter its one-time code. The laptop must remain awake and online. Stop access revokes paired devices. Account and paid-server controls remain on the desktop.
